U.S. state of
Wyoming. As of 2000, the population is 14,573. Its
county seat is
Kemmerer.
History
Lincoln County was organized in 1911.

square miles (10,590
km²), of which, 4,069 square miles (10,539 km²) of it's land and 20 square miles (52 km²) of it (0.49%) is water.

married couples living together, 5.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.0% were non-families. 21.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.75 and the average family size was 3.23.
In the county the population was spread out with 30.9% under the age of 18, 7.2% from 18 to 24, 25.4% from 25 to 44, 24.2% from 45 to 64, and 12.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 37 years. For every 100 females there were 102.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 101.3 males.
The median income for a household in the county was $40,794, and the median income for a family was $44,919. Males had a median income of $37,353 versus $20,928 for females. The
per capita income for the county was $17,533. About 6.4% of families and 9.0% of the population were below the
poverty line, including 11.6% of those under age 18 and 6.4% of those age 65 or over.
